I basically hand the sound effects' duo Shadoe & Dino of Unchained Girls their instruments along with emulating a galloping horse (via coconut halves srsly!) and peasants tying up a giant (via a coffee grinder)!

Jacques Boyreau's Statement
"SuperTrash 10" is a continuation of a movie poster show curated by Jacques Boyreau and Greg Pierce for the Andy Warhol Museum in 2009. The Warhol "SuperTrash" focused entirely on original poster art. "SuperTrash 10," with the involvement of Mark Woolley and designer Candice Schroeder, extrapolates the poster basis into a muralism where grindhouse narratives lead to sacred geometries.

HAPPY FRESH 2010 !!!

I'm Art directing the Anka Gallery FEB/MARCH 2010 'SuperTrash' show, theme Exploitation (Detox). The show correlates with the BAM (Beer, Art and Movie) Festival in FEB 2010 sponsored by BeerNW Magazine and Ninkasi Beer among others.

The idea for the gallery is to turn it into a gathering space with non-profit aid parties, community yoga, and VJ/movie visual performances to elevate the roll of a gallery in PDX. The theme is being conveyed through 4 large scale photomontage wall panels--two already created, one is in the entrance hall of the 'SuperTrash' exhibit via Andy Warhol Museum in PITT through JAN and the other is advertising Seattle's FantaGraphic 'Portable Grindhouse' novel in their gallery. Both can be seen here.

The back room of the gallery will be the 'detox' area with a spectrum painted wall and geometric op-art shapes..breaking down the power of iconic exploitative images to the universal language of the human psyche. Wheat-pasted images and graffiti painting will be layered on top to bring street art into the gallery.

LOTS happening ~

My first museum mural in the Andy Warhol Museum via Pittsburgh, 25'x11' high, is up OCT 18th through JAN 2010!! A Photoshop montage art directed by "Supertrash" exhibit curator Jacques Boyreau.

I've added a new set of pieces to display an array of my overall design skills for those who need it fast and straight to the point.

For the future, I will be continually updating my portfolio with specific apparel and identity graphics geared for the companies and target markets I desire to work for. RIght now my portfolio is Sport Performance apparel graphic based but I look to get into more urban apparel graphics and DJ/ Musical Artist Identity and promotional material. EXCITING!

SOOO the Design and Critique Review #2 went well. These comps look fabulous ; ) but still I am to dig deeper into portraying who M.I.A. really is via her story. Naturally how one overcomes personal struggle defines and progresses them into their present and future state of being. The next step is the uncover Mia's. . . more to come. . . December 10th is the finale. . .

What if musicians were seen as athletes?

Adidas is throwing a Launch Party showcasing a performance enhanced apparel ensemble designed specifically for the artist M.I.A.
~ Her gear will represent a new apparel line with features to benefit the active musician.

(Event projected by the Sport Performance Intern group to demonstrate collaborative skills and to inspire Apparel, Footwear and Graphic Design Teammates.)
